In getting to know new clients and what unique personal things they’d like their stationery to include, this was the first time I’d encountered Dad Jokes. Ella is a serious fan of Dad Jokes and to stay true to that, they wanted to feature a joke on their ocean-themed wedding announcement. Not wanting the joke to detract from the beauty of their union, we created a multi-piece suite in which the joke was set up on the envelope, to the belly band, and wrapped up as their elopement was revealed on a sheet of white vellum illustrated with ocean waves. The final piece carried the date and location of the nuptials as a keepsake piece for their friends and family.
